We have already discussed together when we would go to Thailand again. Tom would like to go mid-December, because then we'll miss the holidays. Pia would like to go in early January.

Now we have requested ticket prices from Nethai Travel, our travel agency in recent years. We want to leave somewhere in the period December 15, 2019 to January 15, 2020 and then stay in Thailand for nine weeks. The cheapest ticket with a direct flight leaves as late as possible, so from mid-January. We then fly with Eva Air.
Pia thinks she wants to be in Thailand on April 13, Songkran, because there will be a tambun ceremony for her deceased family. And being away in March and April is good for Tom, because then he misses the peak of hay fever in the Netherlands.
We decide to go from February 11, 2020 to April 21, 2020.

We pass this on through a Nethai, and we get the bill almost immediately via e-mail, 732 Euro per person, with reserved seats by the window and 30 kg of checked baggage per person.
The next day we pay and a few hours later we receive the e-tickets via e-mail.
